18 너희는 만질 수 있고 불이 붙는 산과 침침함과 흑암과 폭풍과
19 나팔 소리와 말하는 소리가 있는 곳에 이른 것이 아니라 그 소리를 듣는 자들은 더 말씀하지 아니하시기를 구하였으니
20 이는 짐승이라도 그 산에 들어가면 돌로 침을 당하리라 하신 명령을 그들이 견디지 못함이라
21 그 보이는 바가 이렇듯 무섭기로 모세도 이르되 내가 심히 두렵고 떨린다 하였느니라
22 그러나 너희가 이른 곳은 시온 산과 살아 계신 하나님의 도성인 하늘의 예루살렘과 천만 천사와
23 하늘에 기록된 장자들의 모임과 교회와 만민의 심판자이신 하나님과 및 온전하게 된 의인의 영들과
24 새 언약의 중보자이신 예수와 및 아벨의 피보다 더 나은 것을 말하는 뿌린 피니라
25 너희는 삼가 말씀하신 이를 거역하지 말라 땅에서 경고하신 이를 거역한 그들이 피하지 못하였거든 하물며 하늘로부터 경고하신 이를 배반하는 우리일까 보냐
26 그 때에는 그 소리가 땅을 진동하였거니와 이제는 약속하여 이르시되 내가 또 한 번 땅만 아니라 하늘도 진동하리라 하셨느니라
27 이 또 한번이라 하심은 진동하지 아니하는 것을 영존하게 하기 위하여 진동할 것들 곧 만드신 것들이 변동될 것을 나타내심이라
28 그러므로 우리가 흔들리지 않는 나라를 받았은즉 은혜를 받자 이로 말미암아 경건함과 두려움으로 하나님을 기쁘시게 섬길지니
29 우리 하나님은 소멸하는 불이심이라
18 You have mountains that are tangible and burning, gloom, darkness, storms,
19 But they came not to the place where the sound of the trumpet and the voice of speaking were, but those who heard the voice prayed that he would speak no more.
20 For they could not endure the commandment that said, ‘If even an animal enters the mountain, he will be stoned.’
21 So terrible was the sight that Moses said, “I am exceedingly afraid and trembled.”
22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God, to thousands of angels,
23 The assembly of the firstborn, and the church, which are written in heaven, and God the Judge of all, and the spirits of the righteous made perfect,
24 Jesus, the mediator of the new covenant, and the sprinkled blood which speaks of better things than the blood of Abel.
25 Take heed that you do not disobey him who has spoken. If they who disobeyed him who warned on earth did not escape, how much less will we who turn away from him who warned from heaven.
26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”
27 This one more time signifies that the things that can be shaken, that is, the things that are made, will be changed, so that the unshakable may endure.
28 Therefore, since we have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and fear.
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
