23 After many days, the Jews conspired to kill Saul.
24 But Saul learned of their plan. They stood guard at the gates day and night to kill Saul.
25 Saul's disciples put Saul in a basket at night and let him down through the city wall and out of the city.
26 Saul went up to Jerusalem to associate with his disciples, but they did not believe that Saul had become disciples, and they all feared him.
27 But Barnabas took Saul to the apostles and told them how Saul had seen the Lord on the road, what the Lord had said to him, and how he had boldly proclaimed the name of Jesus at Damascus.
28 So Saul stayed with his disciples, and he went about Jerusalem freely, proclaiming the name of the Lord boldly.
29 Saul talked and argued with the Greek Jews, and they conspired to kill him.
30 When the brothers learned of this, they took Saul down to Caesarea and sent him back to Tarsus.
31 In this way, the whole church in Judea, Galilee, and Samaria was able to stand firm and enjoy peace. And the church grew more and more as they feared the Lord and were comforted by the Holy Spirit.
23 여러 날이 지난 후 유대 사람들은 사울을 죽이려는 음모를 꾸몄습니다.
24 그러나 사울이 그들의 계획을 알게 됐습니다. 그들은 사울을 죽이려고 밤낮으로 성문을 철저하게 지키고 서 있었지만
25 사울의 제자들이 밤에 사울을 광주리에 담아 성벽을 통해 성 밖으로 달아 내렸습니다.
26 사울은 예루살렘으로 올라가서 제자들과 교제하려고 했으나 그들은 사울이 제자가 된 것을 믿지 않고 모두 그를 두려워했습니다.
27 그러나 바나바는 사울을 데리고 사도들에게 가서 사울이 길에서 어떻게 주를 보았으며 주께서 그에게 말씀하신 것과 다메섹에서 그가 예수의 이름을 담대하게 전한 것을 그들에게 이야기해 주었습니다.
28 이렇게 해서 사울은 제자들과 함께 지내게 됐고 예루살렘을 자유롭게 다니면서 주의 이름을 담대하게 전했습니다.
29 사울은 그리스파 유대 사람들과 대화를 하고 논쟁도 벌였는데 그들은 사울을 죽이려고 음모를 꾸몄습니다.
30 형제들이 이 사실을 알고 사울을 가이사랴로 데리고 내려갔다가 다시 다소로 보냈습니다.
31 이렇게 해서 유대와 갈릴리와 사마리아의 온 교회가 든든히 서 가면서 평안을 누리게 됐습니다. 그리고 교회는 주를 두려워하고 성령의 위로를 받으면서 그 수가 점점 더 늘어 갔습니다.
