20230923 Sat 히브리서 11:17~31

17 아브라함은 시험을 받을 때에 믿음으로 이삭을 드렸으니 그는 약속들을 받은 자로되 그 외아들을 드렸느니라

18 그에게 이미 말씀하시기를 네 자손이라 칭할 자는 이삭으로 말미암으리라 하셨으니

19 그가 하나님이 능히 이삭을 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살리실 줄로 생각한지라 비유컨대 그를 죽은 자 가운데서 도로 받은 것이니라

20 믿음으로 이삭은 장차 있을 일에 대하여 야곱과 에서에게 축복하였으며

21 믿음으로 야곱은 죽을 때에 요셉의 각 아들에게 축복하고 그 지팡이 머리에 의지하여 경배하였으며

22 믿음으로 요셉은 임종시에 이스라엘 자손들이 떠날 것을  말하고 또 자기 뼈를 위하여 명하였으며

23 믿음으로 모세가 났을 때에 그 부모가 아름다운 아이임을 보고 석 달 동안 숨겨 왕의 명령을 무서워하지 아니하였으며

24 믿음으로 모세는 장성하여 바로의 공주의 아들이라 칭함 받기를 거절하고

25 도리어 하나님의 백성과 함께 고난 받기를 잠시 죄악의 낙을 누리는 것보다 더 좋아하고

26 그리스도를 위하여 받는 수모를 애굽의 모든 보화보다 더 큰 재물로 여겼으니 이는 상 주심을 바라봄이라

27 믿음으로 애굽을 떠나 왕의 노함을 무서워하지 아니하고 곧 보이지 아니하는 자를 보는것 같이 하여 참았으며

28 믿음으로 유월절과 피 뿌리는 예식을 정하였으니 이는 장자를 멸하는 자로 그들을 건드리지 않게 하려 한 것이며

29 믿음으로 그들은 홍해를 육지 같이 건넜으나 애굽 사람들은 이것을 시험하다가 빠져 죽었으며

30 믿음으로 칠 일 동안 여리고를 도니 성이 무너졌으며

31 믿음으로 기생 라합은 정탐꾼을 평안히 영접하였으므로 순종하지 아니한 자와 함께 멸망하지 아니하였도다

 

17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, to whom the promises had been made, and he offered up his only son.

18 For it had already been said to him, ‘Through Isaac will your descendants be called.’

19 He thought that God was able to raise Isaac from the dead, so that he might be restored from the dead.

20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau about things to come.

21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons and worshiped his staff, leaning on his head.

22 By faith Joseph, when he was on his deathbed, spoke to the Israelites about their departure and gave orders for his bones.

23 By faith, when Moses was born, his parents saw that he was a beautiful child, so they hid him for three months and were not afraid of the king’s command.

24 By faith Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter.

25 But he would rather suffer affliction with the people of God, than enjoy the temporary enjoyment of sin;

26 The humiliation suffered for Christ's sake was considered greater wealth than all the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking forward to the reward.

27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's wrath, but persevered, as seeing one who is invisible.

28 By faith the Passover and the sprinkling of blood were ordained, so that the destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as if it were dry land; but the Egyptians, testing it, drowned.

30 After marching around Jericho by faith for seven days, the wall fell down.

31 By faith Rahab the harlot welcomed the spies with peace, so that she did not perish with those who disobeyed.
